Meet up to unravel the media art city "Sapporo"
The creative city initiative that promotes town development by making full use of "creativity" represented by various expressions of cultural art is gaining worldwide attention as a sustainable urban strategy model. City of Sapporo was recognized as a "Media Arts City" in 2013 to join UNESCO Creative City Network.
"Media Arts City" is a creative city that makes use of new technologies such as digital technology.
State-of-the-art technology connects art, business, and society, and has also made a big change in our way of life and values.
In this event, we invite artists, researchers, entrepreneurs who are active in domestic and overseas, what has been created in our activities, how we have influenced our everyday, and in the future I will tell you the vision towards.
With No Maps, and the city of Sapporo as a stage, we would like to think about what kind of future we can create together.

Tama Art University Professor, Media Art Course Department of Information Design Department / Media Center Director. SIAF Committee.Received a team of Ars Electronica 2015 Hybrid · Art category Excellence Award at "ARTSAT 1: INVADER" of Arts Satellite 1. Due to the achievement of the "ARTSAT Project", he won the 66th Artistic Elections Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award (Media Arts Department). In his recent work "Designing for Distant Others Akihiro Kubota's Thought and Implementation" (BNN Shinpan, 2017) is available. SIAF 2017 participated in the project "Sculpture to be Seen from Space, Improvisation to be Heard from Space. Sculptures visible from the universe, improvisation that can be heard from space" project in collaboration with SIAF Lab.

No Maps Executive Committee Chairman / Representative Director of Krypton Future Media Inc.After working at Hokkaido University, July 1995 established Krypton · Future Media Co., Ltd. in Sapporo city. With over 100 affiliated companies around the world, more than 30 million sound contents are the largest in the world. DTM software, music distribution aggregator, 3DCG technology, etc. We are advancing service development and technology development with sound as the idea source every day. It is also known as "Hatsune Miku" development company. Hokkai Gakuen University Economic Graduation. No Maps Executive Committee Chairperson, Visiting Professor at Information Hokkaido Information University also concurrently holds. Received the Ainu Ring prize in 2013.
Shiho Fukuhara
In 2001, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Central St. Martins, London. In 2003, he completed master's degree in Royal College of Art Design and Interactions. Formed an artistic research framework BCL with Geoag Tremel. Since 2007 I moved to Japan as an activity base and developed activities that are beyond the fields of science, art and design, and opening up technologies and monopoly markets to people.
Komu Harumi
Professor of Department of Art, Hokusho University College of Education and Culture. Doctor (engineering), first-class architect.After working as a professor at NTT Building Division, Hokkaido Occupational Development and Development University, he has been in current position since 2005. Acting as a special researcher at Sapporo Media Arts Lab in relation to the initiative of Creative City Sapporo 2012 - 2015. In 2016, as a city policy research project in Sapporo City, we compiled a research report on the use of media arts in the industry and for human resource development. Produced a CG image of the play of the poetry "Media · Art Poem" Jomon "(Artist · Artistic Director: Atomi Osamu)" performed in the hall of Sapporo in 2017.

本イベントの翌日から、札幌駅前通地下歩行空間の一角を会場として、市内でメディアアーツ作品の制作に取り組む学生たちの作品展示を行うとともに、来場者に向けた作品解説イベントを開催します。メディアアーツ・ミートアップへの参加と合わせて、ぜひご来場ください。
