Open Port Club - Artist Residency Program 2017

Open Port Club is an intercity exchange project between Berlin and Sapporo through music. Sapporo is a city located in the northern part of Japan and the diverse creativity of culture and art is rooted. We launched an exchange project with Berlin with the aim of further activating the Sapporo music scene and fostering artists and creators.
So far, I have been doing a variety of activities, such as co-ordinating artists appearing at Berlin's leading techno club Tresor, radio program broadcasting at Berlin Community Radio, and radio corner at FM NORTH WAVE, but this year's The main thing is to hold an artist / residency program.

The Artist Residency Program will be held from August 30th to September 8th, based on Tenjinyama Art Studio. Participating artists were 2 from Berlin and 3 from Hokkaido. One of the invited guests from Berlin was selected from the Incubator program participants hosted by Berlin Community Radio and the other was independently invited by the Open Port Club and elected. We will also select artists in Hokkaido through Open Port Club's public offering.

Participating artists will also visit Sapporo again during the No Maps festival and will showcase the live performances including the production results. Details on this event will be announced at a later date.
