Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Hokkaido Regional Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry (Kokusai) New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) jointly work with Hokkaido General Communications Bureau, etc. of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to establish entrepreneurship and new business based on excellent technology seeds and business ideas We will hold a pitch contest aiming at business creation.

The venture support program "No Maps NEDO Dream Pitch" with Entrepreneur EXPO will be implemented as a collaborative project with the creative convention "No Maps 2018" held mainly in Sapporo city.

The contest excellence team will provide nationwide pitch contests to be held in Tokyo and opportunities to participate in overseas events.

Business summary

Hokkaido has strengths in rich and vast nature, food and sightseeing, and has the potential to become a demonstration field of pioneering new business. On the other hand, it is also an advanced area that has challenges such as serious labor shortage due to the declining birthrate and aging population rapidly developing.

In this project, we will recruit business plans with "new technology" and innovative "idea" leading to problem solving that extends Hokkaido's strengths, from the whole country to conduct pitch contest, as well as providing advice, guidance and matching opportunities by experts Offers.
