The 14th Sapporo International Short Film Festival is a competition for short films from artists from around the world and the selection of outstanding works. This year, there were 3,661 works and a record high (3,604 works in 2018) from 104 countries and regions in the world including Japan. The film festival will feature about 60 contests and a special program.
At the same time as screenings, the International Jury will decide the Grand Prix to be selected, and will also receive special awards such as the Children Short Award and the Sapporo City Peace Award, which elementary school students choose.

In addition, we are planning to have guest seminars and meet-ups * between film makers and young actors.

3 program ticket: 2,500 yen

All night admission ticket: 3,500 yen (until from 22:00 to around 7:00)

Screening program (planned)

Works handled at the Sapporo International Short Film Festival are short films (short films) ranging from 10 minutes to 45 minutes.
From 3,661 works submitted from 104 countries and regions, works to be watched are selected and divided into 10 programs.
You can enjoy 5 to 6 works in one program.
  • International Program (Competition): 6 programs
The short films selected from the works submitted by overseas artists will be screened.
Programs are set according to genre and taste. (The program will be announced later)
  • National Program (Competition): 3 programs
The short films selected from the works submitted by Japanese artists will be screened.
  • Family & Children Program (Competition): 1 Program
From the entry works, we will screen the recommended works that are fun to see in the family.
  • Japan Panorama Program (Out of Competition): 2 programs
We introduce domestic new short films.
  • Hokkaido selection (out of competition): 1 program
The works by director from Hokkaido and the works produced by Hokkaido production are collected and screened.

Other special screening programs are planned.
